SSAC Establishes A Specialized Arbitration Chamber For Appeals Against SPL Financial Oversight Committee Decisions
The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center (SSAC) and the Saudi Pro League (SPL) have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at establishing a joint framework between the Center and the League, pursuant to which SSAC shall establish a specialized arbitration chamber to consider appeals filed against decisions issued by the Financial Oversight Committee (the Primary Committee) of the Saudi Pro League, in accordance with the Financial Regulations for SPL Clubs issued by the League.
The agreement was signed on behalf of SSAC by its CEO, Mr. Jaber bin Saad Aljohani, and on behalf of the SPL by its CEO, Mr. Omar bin Emad Maghrabi.
This joint cooperation between SSAC and SPL is part of a broader series of arbitration-related initiatives undertaken by SSAC in collaboration with various Saudi sports institutions and sectors, the most recent of which was the establishment of a special arbitration chamber to consider appeals against disciplinary decisions issued by sports federations participating in the 2024 Saudi Games.
