Establishment Of The Arbitration Chamber Competent To Hear Club Licensing Disputes And Approval Of Its Procedural Rules
The Board of Directors of the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center (SSAC) issued several resolutions, including the establishment of an Arbitration Chamber competent to hear appeals against decisions issued by the Club Licensing Appeals Committee of the Saudi Pro League and the Saudi First Division League, in addition to approving the Chamber’s procedural rules, publishing them on SSAC’s official website, and appointing its President.
The Chairman of SSAC’s Board of Directors, Prof. Muhammad Bin Nasser Basim, stated that the establishment of the Arbitration Chamber competent to hear club licensing disputes, together with the approval of its procedural rules, comes as an extension of SSAC’s ongoing efforts to develop the institutional and procedural frameworks of justice. He added that this reflects SSAC’s commitment to building specialized arbitral pathways that respond to the nature and requirements of sports disputes, while supporting integration with the relevant sports entities in a manner that serves the stability of the sports sector.
