Establishment Of The Arbitration Chamber For Saudi Arabian Football Federation Election Disputes And Approval Of Its Procedural Rules

The Board of Directors of the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center (SSAC) has issued several resolutions, including the establishment of an Arbitration Chamber to hear appeals against decisions issued by the Election Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) during the period for appeals and objections relating to the lists of candidates for the SAFF Board of Directors elections, in accordance with the official election timetable.

The Board also approved the Chamber’s Procedural Rules, ordered their publication on SSAC’s official website, and appointed the Chamber’s President.

Commenting on the resolutions, Professor Mohammed bin Nasser Bassam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SSAC, stated that the establishment of the Arbitration Chamber for SAFF election disputes and the approval of its Procedural Rules form part of SSAC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the efficiency of the sports justice system by providing a specialized arbitration mechanism tailored to the nature and time-sensitive requirements of election-related disputes.

He added that the initiative will contribute to reinforcing the principles of integrity and transparency, thereby safeguarding the electoral process and supporting the stability of the sports sector.
