The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center Participates In The Fourth Arab Conference On Sports And Law
The Saudi Sports Arbitration Center concluded its participation in the fourth Arab Conference on Sports and Law held by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, from 4 to 6 August, under the title "Arbitration in Sports Disputes in the Light of International Significance", based on the call to the center to participate in the conference by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development.
The activities of the conference, which was held for three days, included the participation of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Sports Arbitration Center, Dr. Muhammad bin Nasser Busayem, as a speaker in a dialogue session titled "Sports and Sports Arbitration, locally and internationally."

During his speech, Bassam is that the national arbitration centers are one of the most prominent tools for the settlement of modern sporting disputes, because of the effective and rapid alternatives it provides outside the traditional judiciary. He praised the Saudi experience that was embodied in the establishment of the Sports Arbitration Center in 2016 under the umbrella of the Olympic Committee and Barladiya, to be the only reference for sports disputes according to independent and impartial rules, which contributed to accelerating the dismissal of cases, spreading legal awareness, and reducing dependence on the Cass Court.
He stressed the need to review the legislative frameworks to ensure compatibility with international principles, define exclusive jurisdiction of the centers, and enhance transparency by publishing statistics and rulings. He also called for the development of basic systems in a manner that guarantees financial and administrative independence, activating permanent committees, adopting flexible measures that include mediation, digital transformation, and giving arbitrators temporary powers.
With regard to the arbitrators lists, he stressed the importance of organizing them with criteria that include qualifications, integrity and experience, with periodic evaluation and professional diversity. He concluded his speech that the effectiveness of these centers is based on an integrated system of legislation, management and competencies, to achieve fair and professional sporting justice in light of the accelerating developments of the sports sector.
On the other hand, the CEO of the center, Jaber bin Saad Al -Juhani, participated as a major speaker in a dialogue session entitled "Arab experiences on settling sports disputes before national arbitration institutions", during which he reviewed the experience of the Saudi Sports Sports Arbitration Center, his most prominent achievements, and the transformations he witnessed in light of his strategic plan, in addition to his future aspirations towards enhancing his regional and international presence.
This participation comes within a series of local, regional and international posts through which the center is keen to highlight its pioneering experience, exchange experiences, and enhance cooperation with legal and sports authorities, within the framework of its strategic targets towards consolidating the culture of sports arbitration.
